Description

This is the second clinic in the Endgame Basics Clinic series. We will cover how to win with a Queen against a Pawn on the 7th rank, as well as several Rook end game positions. If you are a beginner and would like to learn the basics of chess endgames, this mini clinic is for you. Each class will last one hour (6:15-7:15pm), and admission is FREE! All classes will be taught by a team of High School volunteers – strong Expert-level players (USCF rating 2000+) with years of chess teaching experience.

The typical format will be an interactive teaching session, followed by hands-on practices.

After the mini clinic, students can stay for the August Big Money Blitz tournament starting at 7:45pm. The blitz tournament is a USCF rated event, and a USCF membership is required. The tournament is a separate event. You need to register to play.
